Argentina was inhabited by nomadic tribes. These tribes were the Yamana who lived in tropical northeast. In 1776, Argentina was announced as the new capital. Even though Spanish had control of the area, their trade restrictions on the locals led to a revolt which ended in a declaration of independence. Today, Argentina remains rich in natural sources and they are working well. The current president of Argentina is Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.

There are various types of culture in Argentina due to the  European immigration which influenced the culture a combination between Indian cultures and European cultures. Argentines are generally open and direct, although they still remain tactful and diplomatic. They are also close physical communicators as they like to maintain little physical distance between others. 


Religion 

Catholic religion plays a very important role in Argentina. Today, around 90% people in Argentina are Roman Catholic, however not everyone attends church regularly.          

Some points of interest in Argentina are:                                                                                                                                      - El Calafate is a small town located in the Patagoria region that has prime glacier access.                                                              - Iguazu Falls is one of the most famous water fall.                                                                                                                    - Aconcagua is the highest mountain in South America that attracts many hiking lovers.

Civil Unrest/ Political tension: protests and demonstrations often occur in the Plaza de Mayo and Congreso areas in Buenos Aires, travelers should avoid evolving in these events as unexpected violence may take place causing unnecessary injures.

Crime: Some common crimes that often occur are pick-pocketing, bag snatching and bag slitting, especially on public transport & other crowded areas.  Armed robbery occurs very frequent in tourist areas such as Buenos Aires and Medoza. Travelers should always be vigilant at night and if seeking for emergency service (police, fire & ambulance) please dial 911 for English service.

Money and valuables: Travelers are suggested to organize a few different ways to access your money abroad and should seek for oversea banking advice from your bank or other information on the local currency.
